Három szíriai pátriárka kéri a nemzetközi közösséget, hogy fejezzék be a Szíria elleni nemzetközi szankciókat.
A szíriai válság 2011-es kezdete óta a gazdasági és pénzügyi szankciók növelték a szíriai polgárokra nehezedő terheket. Hatalmas teherről van szó, amely súlyosan elmélyítette a szíriai nép szenvedését.
Gregorius III Melkite görög katolikus, Ignatius Aphrem II, a szíriai ortodox egyház és John X görög ortodox pátriárka közösen kéri a nemzetközi közösséget a nemzetközi szankciók megállítására.
A CitizenGO támogatni kívánja a pátriárkákhoz csatlakozó Novae Terrae barátait, hogy vessenek véget e szankcióknak.

Úgy érzem, a pátriárkák kérése feltétlenül megérdemli támogatásunkat, azaz az aláírást, és ezért tettem ki ide kérelmüket.
Ha Szíriában normálisabb helyzet alakul ki, nyilván kevesebben akarnak majd onnan elmenekülni.
Az is világos, hogy az Egyesült Államoknak a célja nem a béke és nyugalom megteremtése Szíriában, hanem a terroristák támogatása, mint ezt a napokban ismételten bebizonyította, amikor az oroszokkal megállapodott tűzszünetet felrúgva 62 szíriai katonát ölt meg légitámadásaival.
Az EU nevű amerikai pincsikutya idén május 27-én hosszabbította meg a Szíria elleni szankciókat 2017. június 1-ig. Mintha nem lenne elég az a katasztrófa, amelyben a szír nép él, amióta a nyugati szövetségesek és a Szaúd-Arábia-féle terrorista monarchiák pénzelik és fegyverrel támogatják a terroristákat.
| The 3 Syrian Patriarchs are appealing to the international community, to end the economic sanctions against Syria.
Since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, in 2011, the economic and financial sanctions have increased the impact on the daily lives of Syrian citizens – a huge burden which has actually deepened the suffering of the Syrian people.
But, despite their suffering, the Syrian people have resolutely faced this crisis, even though the social situation has progressively gotten worse and worse.
The international community must stop the sanctions, before the death of a nation occurs.

Over the past 5 years, international financial sanctions against Syria have brought the country and its people to their knees.
Syria has been isolated by the international community, and the economic sanctions are yet another aspect of the current crisis.
But, now, the three Patriarchs of Syria, Gregorius III Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch, Ignatius Aphrem II Syriac Orthodox Patriarch and John X Greek Orthodox Patriarch, have released a common appeal asking the international community to stop the international sanctions on Syria.
CitizenGO wish to support our friends at Novae Terrae, who are joining the Patriarchs in this call to eliminate these economic sanctions.

What do the sanctions mean, for the average Syrian, in day-to-day life?
Sanctions can mean any, or all, of the following: an absence of new investment into the country; a ban on international flights to Syria; a significant reduction in exports; and, the blacklisting of some Syrian companies.
Basically, it means that doing business, for the average Syrian, has been very difficult over the past 5 years.
And, though the main goals of imposing these sanctions are political, they touch the life of the entire Syrian people, especially the poor and working class, who struggle to find food and medicines.
