A Sajtóklub tegnapi adásában (EchoTV, hétfő, 20:30-21:30) megemlítettem, hogy a világ legbefolyásosabb hetilapja, a brit Economist („The Economist”) a Rothschild család tulajdona.
Hárman is kérték e-mailben, hogy adjak erről elérhető írásos információt.
Az adásban a Wikipediát említettem. Itt van a vonatkozó rész, annak angol és francia szócikkéből. A németből hiányzik a tulajdonos neve. A magyarból még inkább.
The publication belongs to the Economist Group. It is 50% owned by the English branch of the Rothschild family and by the Agnelli family through its holding company Exor. The remaining 50% is held by private investors including the editors and staff.[9][10] The Rothschilds and the Agnellis are represented on the board of directors.[11]
Le groupe était possédé à hauteur de 50 % par Pearson de 1928 à 2015. En août 2015, Pearson, après avoir vendu le Financial Times, annonce la vente pour 469 millions de livres de sa participation dans The Economist Group, au groupe italien Exor et à la famille Rothschild9. Par cette transaction, Exor, holding de la famille Agnelli, monte sa participation de 4,7 % à 43,4 %. Les autres parts sociales sont détenues par des actionnaires privés, dont la branche anglaise de la famille Rothschild. Pour garantir l’indépendance des journalistes, les statuts interdisent qu’une organisation possède plus de la moitié des parts de l’entreprise10 et un maximum d’un cinquième des voix au conseil6.
